Visiting Professor Klemen Prah, from the University of Maribor in Slovenia, will present an informal and general brown bag talk entitled "Hiking Trails in Slovenia." He will discuss methods and preliminary results on fractal dimensions of trails for a case study on the Donacka Gora mountain in eastern Slovenia.

ESRI and Knight Labs Story Maps combine narrative text, images, and other content with maps to create spatially based narratives for the web. They are an easy-to-use, powerful tool for presenting all kinds of information to a public audience and are great for classroom projects. In this workshop, we will compare the ESRI and JS versions of StoryMap and learn how to use Story Maps incorporating a variety of media types and formats.
