Join us this afternoon at 4 p.m. in Geo Room 126 to learn about the cutting-edge research that Theuerkauf Lab conducts on coastal environments, featuring Dr. Ethan Theuerkauf and his team, including grad students, coordinators, and technicians.

Beaches, Boats, and BMPs: An overview of recent work from the Theuerkauf Coastal Processes and Geomorphology Lab

Presenters:

  • Ethan Theuerkauf, Lab PI
  • Emma Bouie- PhD Student
  • CarLee Stimpfel- MS Student
  • Hannah Griffith- Outreach Coordinator/Research technician
  • Brendan Burchi- Research technician

The Theuerkauf Lab studies the geomorphic evolution of coastal environments, such as beaches, dunes, barrier islands, and wetlands. Their research is field-based and aimed at documenting how coastal environments are changing, what processes are driving change, and what the implications of change are for humans and ecological systems. Emphasis is placed on understanding how coastal systems might evolve in the future and aiding in coastal management decisions.
