The program is designed to improve access and opportunity for outstanding Masters and Ph.D. students facing barriers to geography graduate education through fully funded training and mentorship opportunities.

This comprehensive cohort-based program has four pillars: Recruiting, Retention, Engagement, and Support. Our student-centered aim is to move beyond recruiting to ensure strong mentoring by faculty and to connect our graduate students with a broad community of support and resources across the MSU campus. Our disciplinary aim is to lead the transformation of geography so that the field reflects the range of talent of the nation.
