2024 MSU Geography Awareness Week Geovisualization Competition

Help the MSU Department of Geography, Environment, and Spatial Sciences celebrate Geography Awareness Week by entering our 2024 Geovisualization Competition! The primary theme of this competition, Geography: Your Passport to a Global Career, is designed to highlight the practical aspects of geography as a discipline worth pursuing. Entries should inspire and motivate by shedding light on the diverse job prospects available after graduation with a degree in geography and its subfields, including, but not limited to, GIS, remote sensing, physical, economic, and human geography.

Established by a presidential proclamation more than a quarter century ago, Geography Awareness Week is celebrated each third week of November. This public awareness program encourages citizens, young and old, to think and learn about the significance of place and how we affect and are affected by it.

Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. on November 14, 2024. We recognize the value of your contributions and look forward to seeing your work! Winners will be announced during Geography Awareness Week (November 18-22, 2024).
