The MSU Department of Geography, Environment and Spatial Sciences is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of David T. Pruder, who was recently recognized for his unparalleled academic success.
At its April 10 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees presented David with the prestigious Board of Trustees’ Award. This honor is reserved for graduating seniors who have achieved the highest scholastic average one can receive: a 4.0 GPA. David is among 315 seniors in the Class of 2026 to receive this distinction.
A native of East Lansing, Michigan, David has navigated a rigorous and interdisciplinary academic path within the Honors College. This May, he will graduate with a B.S. in Geography, specializing in the Physical Environment and Climate, and minors in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies and Sustainability, and Climate Change Studies. David also earned a Professional Certificate in GIS during his time at MSU.
In addition to the university-wide recognition from the Board of Trustees, David has been named our department’s Outstanding Senior in Geography. This award highlights not only his academic prowess but also his dedication to the field of spatial science.
Please join us in congratulating David on this incredible milestone. We look forward to seeing the impact he will undoubtedly make as a Spartan Geography alumnus!
