Research synopsis

My research interests lie in eco-geomorphology, particularly in coastal environments. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, with a specialization in Geography, from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and previously worked with the Tropical Rivers Group at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU). My research experience includes investigating seagrass blue carbon in Singapore and examining the environmental impacts of sand mining in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta. Currently, I focus on understanding how sediment dynamics, landscape characteristics, and environmental change influence wetland vegetation across spatial and temporal scales, specifically within the Great Lakes environment. By integrating field data collection, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS), the goal is to improve our understanding of the processes that shape wetlands and its ecosystem function, as well as their resilience to future environmental change.
