The Department of Geography, Environment and Spatial Sciences is gearing up for our annual celebration of Geography Awareness Week. Established by a presidential proclamation more than 35 years century ago, Geography Awareness Week is celebrated each third week of November. This public awareness program encourages citizens, young and old, to think and learn about the significance of place and how we affect and are affected by it.
Mark your calendar and plan to join us for a variety of interesting and engaging activities including a special spotlight event featuring Cajun folklorist and environmental activist Jonathan Foret to take place on the evening of Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Broad Business College Complex (N130) on the campus of Michigan State University.
