My research broadly focuses on changes in climate and land use / land cover, and their subsequent impacts on wildlife. My current project is centered on the Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem of Kenya and Tanzania. I have a mixed background, with degrees in Kinesiology and Environmental Geosciences, which play well into understanding the biological and physical constraints on ecosystems and their inhabitants. My research relies heavily on remote sensing and geographic information systems, along with computer programming. I consider myself a biogeographer, with strong interests in understanding and advocating for threatened ecosystems and the human communities that are an inherent part of them.
