Upon graduation, I got an internship with Tri-County Regional Planning Commission in Lansing. I was responsible for updating several GIS boundary layers throughout Eaton, Clinton, and Ingham County. In October of 2007, I left the great state of Michigan for Orlando, Florida, to work for Ardaman & Associates, Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech Inc. We are a geotechnical and environmental engineering firm. As a member of the Water Resources group, I am the lead GIS staff member for our groundwater division. I use GIS in some way on a daily basis, from creating Terrains out of raw LiDAR for floodplain mapping to a variety of field reconnaissance using a Trimble GPS. I am currently applying to get my GISP certification.
