The 2019 Summer Research Fellowship is for Ph.D. students currently enrolled at MSU. The goal of the program is to support the next generation of scientists and to advance work in environmental science and policy at Michigan State University. Each will receive funding of $7,000 for the summer of 2019 and will participate in the 2019 ESPP Research Symposium in the Fall of 2019.
Seven students are selected for this award, and two are our very own Geography, Environment, and Spatial Science students;
Gabriela Shirkey: “Linking globalization to private land management: a novel approach to historical global warming.”
Kyle Redican: “Structural and Spatial Analysis of Community Water Systems.”
